A Jersey Cash 5 lottery ticket worth $1,302,942 was sold at a liquor store in Hudson County for Sunday’s drawing.
The Jersey Cash 5 winner made the purchase at New Bergen Liquor on Kearny Avenue in Kearny, state lottery officials said.
Sunday’s winning numbers were: 1, 5, 24, 33 and 43. The XTRA number was 2 and the Bullseye number was 24.
No one had hit the jackpot for the daily drawing for eight straight days prior to Sunday. There was no jackpot winner Monday, pushing the top prize for Tuesday’s drawing to an estimated $165,000.
The odds of a $2 ticket matching all five numbers — between 1 and 45 — are 1,221,759 to 1.
